Helicopter Spins Wildly into Palm Trees at Frequented Southern California Shoreline
An aircraft soaring near a well-attended coastal coastline abruptly commenced twirling wildly, eventually losing altitude and plunging into a cluster of palm groves as spectators observed.
Recordings posted online capture the chopper starting to spin near the shoreline then plunging near the border of the coast, where it becomes wedged between palms and a set of stairs adjacent to the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Information
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five individuals were transported to a medical facility comprising a pair who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” after the incident on Saturday.
Three persons on the road were harmed. Information on their condition were not yet released.
What led to the incident was not immediately released.
